Happening・Murmuration

Capturing the in the moment felt response to a starling murmuration by GGDC dancers Kevan McGeever and Paula Turner.

A duet made with former woodwork teacher Kevan. This improvised movement response took place within a nature reserve and was witnessed by other bird watchers and members of the public.

The piece drew on emergent ideas about endings, changes and control: about a life spent working with hands to shape, guide and direct, with hands that were now finding new uses, patterns and sensations, creating new ways of expressing and connecting.
